• What it is: A VOG is a hanging oyster habitat that lets oysters grow off the bottom of the waterway.
   
• What it does: Oysters filter water, provide shelter for small fish and crabs, and create a visible, interactive restoration project right at your dock.
   
• Monitoring: We track how much the oysters grow and the number of marine animals using the area after installation, so you can see the ecological impact firsthand.

• After a few months, we install the Zip Project, a patented ground-based oyster reef, underneath your dock and VOGs.
   
• The VOGs can be released into the center of the reef, giving oysters more space to grow and providing even more habitat.
   
• Benefits: Improves water quality, protects against erosion, and creates permanent habitat—all in your own backyard!

Restaurants, HOAs, and community groups can use this as a hands-on educational experience:

• Guests and residents can help build VOGs or monitor growth
   
• Promote oyster restoration and water conservation
