The Zip Project takes an organic approach to oyster reef restoration, using biodegradable and plastic-free materials to provide a safe and natural environment for oysters to grow. This helps improve water quality and clarity, protect against predators and storms, and create habitats for other marine species.
Sustainable Oyster Reef Restoration Project
The Zip Project: VOG Edition is another organic approach to oyster reef restoration, utilizing plastic-free materials. We are able to provide a natural way to attract oysters and allow them to safely grow. This project design is our own version of Vertical Oyster Gardens (VOGs), which allows us to hang this off of docks and aid in oyster spat recruitment while protecting the oysters from predators.
